Welcome! In this guide, we’ll show you how to use the LiquidRegen Battery Refurbish Solution Kit to bring your lead-acid batteries back to life. Whether you’re using it for golf carts, RVs, or other vehicles, following this process can save you time, money, and help keep your batteries running longer. Let’s dive in!
Before starting, make sure your battery is fully charged and clean. Removing the battery from your vehicle isn’t necessary, but you do need to wear proper personal protective equipment—gloves and eye protection are essential since battery acid can be hazardous. Use a damp rag to wipe down the tops and sides of the battery, removing any dirt or grease. Dispose of the rag safely, as it may contain traces of acid.
Next, it’s time to gather your materials and prepare the battery cells for treatment. Collect the LiquidRegen bottle, dispensing cap, and instructional leaflet that were provided in your order, as well as any optional tools like a flathead screwdriver or syringe. Remove the caps from the battery cells. The type of cap may vary, but they’re all located on the top of the battery. Once removed, you should be able to see inside each cell.
Check the fluid level; Some batteries have plastic protrusions to indicate the correct fluid level. If the level is too high, use a syringe to carefully remove some fluid until it’s at the proper height.
Now that the battery is ready, determine the correct amount of LiquidRegen needed for each cell by checking the data label on the side of your battery. For example, if it’s a 6-volt battery, you’ll need to add one ounce of LiquidRegen per cell. Attach the dispensing cap to the LiquidRegen bottle to easily dispense the right amount. Carefully add LiquidRegen to each cell. If any of the cells look low after adding LiquidRegen, top them off with the fluid you removed earlier or use distilled water—but do not use extra LiquidRegen unless specifically recommended by a LiquidRegen support staff member.
Once you’ve added LiquidRegen, it’s important to mix the solution thoroughly within the battery. If the battery is out of the vehicle, gently rock it back and forth for at least 30 seconds. If the battery is still installed in the vehicle, drive around for about 10 minutes, ideally on a rough surface, to help mix the solution well.
After mixing, it’s time to charge the battery. For best results, use a trickle charger to individually charge each battery. This requires fewer charge and discharge cycles to restore battery performance. If a trickle charger isn’t available, you can use a regular battery charger. Set it to the lowest amperage setting and allow the battery to reach full charge. Afterward, briefly discharge the battery and then charge it again to maximize its efficiency.
Using LiquidRegen properly requires some preparation, but it can help extend the life of your lead-acid batteries significantly:
